Forestburgh Playhouse 2020 Summer Season: Re-booted!
We are excited to announce our summer event series, Forestburgh Playhouse Under the Stars! Friday and Saturday evenings we will hold outdoor entertainment nestled in our award-winning gardens. Enjoy a safe, socially-distanced experience with live music, Broadway performers, comedy, and more.
Safety is Our Top Priority, But the Show Must Go On!
After having to cancel our traditional summer season at the Forestburgh Playhouse due to the COVID-19 crisis, we knew we could not imagine a summer where the Forestburgh Playhouse was not entertaining our patrons. We also understand that anything we do must be safe and comfortable for audience members, performers and staff.
With this in mind, we plan to offer our outdoor summer event series in the gardens. There will be tent seating and lawn seating available, all comfortably distanced, so that patrons can safely enjoy a wide variety of entertainment out in the open air. Bring blankets, chairs, and the whole family for a night of excitement and laughter.
Enhance Your Experience With Delectable Food and Spirits
What would a night out be without delicious food and drinks? Audience members can add to the experience (and help support the Forestburgh Playhouse) by pre-ordering gourmet picnic baskets and cocktails. An outdoor open bar will be available as well. Enjoy savory snacks and tantalizing beverages under the dazzling summer night sky while being effortlessly entertained by award-winning performers and musicians.
Entertainment: Live Bands and Broadway Performers
A schedule of events is coming soon, packed with theatrical performances from award winning Broadway performers and live music from some of the area’s most fabulous bands and amazing crooners. Choose a night for the perfect date, a night for family fun, a night to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or come out for them all. You don’t even need a special occasion to have a fun night out with friends and family.
75 and Thrive
Help keep Forestburgh Playhouse thriving and entertaining the public by donating to our 75 and Thrive campaign. For nearly 75 years, the Forestburgh Playhouse has been a place where theater thrives. Performers display their talents, budding performers learn, and audiences are entertained. COVID-19 has taken its toll on many businesses, and ours is no different. We have had to cancel many of our events and educational opportunities that source a great deal of our income. It is our hope that our 75 and Thrive campaign will help to supplement the lost income so that Forestburgh Playhouse can reach 75 years and go on to thrive for 75 more.
Summer Season Information
The summer season will kick off in mid July and continue through August. Under the Stars events will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings and last about an hour. Stay tuned for more information about scheduling, tickets, food and drink orders, and more.
